Fashwave

A Nazi soldier drinking a beer. 3D filters are applied to blur the image. Text on a black bar over his eyes reads "WE WERE RIGHT".

Fashwave is a loose term used to describe both a specific art style and a specific subgenre of white power music.

Fashwave music is a genre influenced by synthwave and vaporwave music, but with explicitly fascist and white supremacist themes. It’s known for using far-right meme culture and science fiction themes in accompanying artwork.

Fashwave designs are fascist memes characterized by image editing filters that add graphics made to resemble analog television. This includes faint horizontal lines, static, and image warping seen while rewinding and fast-forwarding tapes. Images often incorporate short slogans invoking nostalgia in text resembling the display of VCR players (capitalized white text over black strips).
