George Lincoln Rockwell

George Lincoln Rockwell (1918-1967) was the founder and first leader of the American Nazi Party (ANP). Over the course of his decades-long leadership, the ANP held numerous public demonstrations and attempted to build ties with other organizations at home and abroad, until his assassination at the hands of a past supporter. Despite being American, Rockwell is often used as a symbol in neo-Nazi spaces online, in part due to the fact that he is less recognizable than other Nazi leaders like Hitler, making posters less likely to receive social media bans for posting images featuring his likeness.
